BRG Engineering is a small consulting engineering firm qualified and dedicated to provide structural engineering services to deliver transportation and public works projects for its clients. The company was established in Sacramento, California in 1992 and is certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in California and Nevada. BRG has successfully completed design projects in California and Nevada totaling over $100 million dollars in construction cost.
The firm’s projects are proactively managed by its principal owner, Noel J. Suan, P.E., who has over 28 years of extensive experience focused in the structural engineering of transportation and public works structures. In over 18 years of managing BRG Engineering, Mr. Suan has successfully established an excellent track record of delivering the firm’s projects in a cost-effective and timely manner. Mr. Suan is supported by an experienced staff of engineers and technicians with the appropriate training and background as well as the shared commitment to get the job done. BRG Engineering’s high commitment and reliability in delivering its client’s projects on schedule has been demonstrated through its past project performance.
SERVICES OVERVIEW
BRG provides planning and feasibility studies, type selection studies, engineering, and preliminary and final design services. We specialize in the design of the following transportation and other appurtenant structures according to Caltrans and NDOT standards:
- bridge structures (cast-in-place rc/ps concrete, precast ps concrete, structural welded steel plate girders)
- earth retaining structures (concrete cantilever walls, MSE walls, soil nail, soldier pile walls, tieback walls)
- underground drainage and flood control structures (RCB culverts, junction and transition structures)
BRG has primarily been engaged in public-sector projects giving us the opportunity to directly participate in various infrastructure programs including:
- highway widening projects
- highway interchange projects
- local agency transportation/public works improvement projects
- on-call seismic retrofit programs
- on-call bridge improvement programs
- rail transit projects
